Honestly, who starts a business of collecting trash, and re-selling it? Who walks up to a muskrat and stares right at it and gets bitten in the knee, while the other one yells not to get near it, because you'll get bitten? Sure we do strange things, things that most other people wouldn't think of doing... but that's what makes life interesting!
