Before we left for the south for vacation, the Olympic torch passed through Inuvik, as one of its first stops in Canada... Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see it up here, but when I was home in Ontario, it passed through a town nearby- Simcoe. My mom, sister and I woke up bright and early, donning our red Olympic mittens (which I LOVE with their little white maple leaves on the palms, which are perfect for waving). It was pretty cool to see a flame that had a few weeks before been where I live, in the high Arctic, back down south in Ontario where I used to live.
